At 20th and Tustin
I am running on an early Sunday morning after a hard and cleansing rain. I run past people leaving church. My aching sides and burning shins, feet hitting the pavement. This is my religion now. When Cecil Otter's "Rickety Bridge" comes on in my ears I run like your god just gave me a new pair of legs. And I start to think and wonder if my heart has muscle memory the way my legs do. Is loving you, just like riding a bike?
